Subject: Icast and Outcast Sr. cause interference? Also, there is a delay w/wired speakers? Author: JesseE (10:57AM, May 24, 2009 - last edited 11:00AM, May 24, 2009) Is there anything I can do about the interference picked up from the icast on my cordless phone?
Also, there is a slight delay in the audio playback between my wired, Amplified speakers and the Outcast. Is this normal or expected? Other than that, the Outcast IS AWESOME!!! |
Subject: re: Icast and Outcast Sr. cause clicking sounds on my cordless phone. Author: OmarV (01:37PM, Jun 04, 2009) Soundcast products are interference free. They were tested and approved for FCC and UL standards. If your phone is picking up interference we would recommend in the first place not connecting it in close proximity to your iCast. The problem could be also related to the devices you have connected to the same circuit or the way you have them connected. Usually this can be solved by reconnecting your equipment in a different fashion using separated AC outlets.
Regarding the delay (latency time from transmitter to receiver), it is normal, but for most applications this is not a problem as it is a minimum delay almost unnoticeable (64 milliseconds).
