Easy...works perfectly
After trying and returning two JBL WEM systems I gave the Soundcast a try. It was so easy - it connected right away. I keep the transmitter behind my entertainment system and the receiver behind the couch, both completely out of sight. The connection is solid, no cutting out, no popping noises. I would not hesitate to buy again.

Works great; extremely easy setup
I got this as a replacement for a RCA level input kit I'd mistakenly ordered. Setup couldn't be simpler. You hook the transmitter to your home theater receiver, hook the receiver to the surround speakers, and the two units immediately "see" each other. I had everything done in less than 30 minutes, and it sounds fantastic. There's no perceptible lag in the transmission of sound either, which was the most impressive thing to me. Highly recommended if you need a wireless speaker solution with line level (speaker wire) inputs.

Performs as described
I installed this product yesterday. All the positive reviews are accurate. The product is easy to install and performs exactly as described. I notice no problems with sound from the rear speakers even though the unit's receiver is over 30 feet from its transmitter. Line of sight between the transmitter and receiver is not necessary. I have a Yamaha RX-V765 receiver with a built-in ability to optimize the speaker settings. After optimization the 7-channel sound is fantastic, so the optimization must be compatible with the functioning of the transmitter. I couldn't be happier with my purchase.

Worked great with my Onkyo TX-NR609 Audyssey 2EQ speaker setup
I purchased this product based on the strong reviews. It is absolutely every bit as great as described. Super easy, fast set-up and the sound on my Polk Audio Monitor 30 back surround speakers is as good as wired speakers.
Based on a previous review, I had concerns that the Audyssey 2EQ speaker set-up on my Onkyo TX-NR609 would not work. The Audyssey worked perfectly. The balance was excellent. I tested the Soundcast by playing my Avatar blu ray movie, and we felt like we were hearing sound at a movie theater.
Purchase with total confidence.

Very Cool Product and works as advertised
Easy to setup. Ignore other reviews claiming issues with the transmitter and receiver needing direct line of site. Initially I set them up with that in mind. However, I decided to test it with the receiver behind my couch and had no problem with signal or delay. I recommend these to anyone who doesn't want to have wires running all over their room for their surround speakers.

Great!
Unlike most other reviewers, I ordered these to use with my front speakers. I have an oddly shaped living room that forced me to get creative with my setup. I was at a loss on how to run surround sound in this living room since there was literally nowhere for me to hide the wires. I decided to try these out to see how they would work with my front speakers, since getting speaker wire to my back speakers was a non-issue for my setup. Much to my satisfaction, it ended up being a great solution.
1. Setup was so easy it's embarrassing. This is what they had in mind when they invented the phrase "plug-n-play". It required no manual intervention. I plugged the transmitter and the receiver in, and they were ready to go.
2. I was concerned about a potential lag, but it's nonexistent. The wireless speakers are synced perfectly with the wired speakers.
3. The quality is perfect. I can't tell any difference between the wired and the wireless speakers.
4. The design of the transmitter and receiver are excellent. It is hard to describe in writing, but it gives you a great way of organizing and hiding the cables coming into the base. This is a HUGE bonus!
5. The only downfall, and this is only if you're using this for your FRONT speakers, is that there is only a left and a right speaker connection - i.e. no way to connect your center speaker. However, this doesn't change my review of the product since it is specifically made for back speakers. Just something to keep in mind if you want to use these in the same manner that I did.
All in all, a wonderful purchase and a great solution to home entertainment setup.

So Far So Good
I've been searching for a decent wireless solution for my rear speakers for years (seriously). I finally took the plunge. Obviously, it was very simple to setup. It sounds excellent with my Onkyo 707. It works great with Audessey. Blu-rays sound incredible. The new Dark Side Of the Moon remaster sounds amazing as well. I hear no interference or static.
It works fine without direct line of sight at about 15ft away. One thing to point out... Originally I had it about 2ft from my Roku 2 box (it's 2.4ghz only). The Soundcast transmitter interfered with its Wifi. The Roku was still able to connect to my network but its speed was terrible. I moved the Soundcast transmitter further away at about 5ft and I no longer have any problems. Some observations... the transmitter looks for an unused 2.4ghz channel every time it is turned on. If you turn other devices on after the transmitter, Roku for example, both could be working on the same channel. Apple TV can handle 5ghz.
I love it and would buy it again.

They do the job!
I have had this wireless system in my living room for a few weeks now. They work beautifully. The sound that I get through my Bose bookshelf speakers is good. No audio artifacts, just good clear sound. And best of all, I don't have to run any wires across my living room. :-) So far, I am quite satisfied with this wireless system.

Excellent solution if you don't use Audyssey
I was a little skeptical given the unknown branding of this product. Here's my setup: Onkyo TX-NR708 receiver w/ Polk Audio Blackstone TL3's speakers. The wireless surround setup is fairly easy. It took me a while to get the sound level on the unit to my liking, but afterwards I was more than satisfied with the end result. This unit has produced reliable and convincing "wired" surround in a wireless application. WARNING: if you rely on your receiver's Audyssey function for sound callibration, this wireless function with NOT be compatible with Audyssey. In a nutshell, Audyssey is unable to judge the distance on a wireless speaker and thus your receiver via Audyssey cannot automatically adjust sound levels on wireless speakers. If don't rely on Audyssey and can live with this pitfall, then I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a quick wireless speaker solution.

Works Amazingly Well!
I have to 2.4GHz wireless N routers within feet of both the transmitter and receiver and I still get a clear signal. If you not comfortable running cable through your ceiling and don't want to see wires this is a great item. I've had it a few months now, and I don't think I'd be able to get a 5.1 system with my wife's blessing without this. I will probably end up running the cable through the ceiling, but for now this works GREAT!

No more wires all around the room
This is a great wireless transmitter if you do not want to run wires across the room, for whatever reasons.
Pros:
1. Very simple to setup. It comes with two wires for left and right connections from HT Receiver to the Soundcast transmitter. Just hook up the wires and power, and you're good to go.
2. The transmitter uses negligible power. The receiver uses more, as it has to output to speakers, but it goes on standby on inactivity. So that saves power.
3. Volume level is pre-set and works perfectly out-of-box. It has volume adjustments that it remembers, so if you do need to tweak volume levels, it should be one time thing.
Cons:
None
It's definitely better than performing in-wall wiring or running the wires across the room.

Great value for home theater
I purchased the soundcaster with some reservations but was pleasantly surprised after I hooked it up. The soundcaster will allow you to have wireless speakers to a point. You get a wireless connection between the included transmitter and receiver/50 watt amp. The speakers are then hooked to the soundcaster receiver with wire which can be another issue for your rear surround speakers especially if you want to wall mount them. The other concern is possible wifi interference on your home network. The claim by the manufacturer is that the soundcaster scans for an unused 2.4 Ghz channel automatically. While this may be the case, I did have have to spend quite a bit of time positioning the soundcaster transmitter and my network bridge to attain optimal network connectivity.
Overall, I am pleased with this product because it does work as advertised and it is about 1/4 the cost of the KEF system which has 2 receiver/amps. You have to make the decision if you want to hide speaker wire or power cords.
