Subject: Delay in signal

Hi, I just got the SpeakerCast and the iCast transmitter. I wanted to use it as a second speaker in my kitchen. The iCast is plugged into the stereo in one end of the kitchen and the SpeakerCast is placed in the other end of the kitchen. However, there is a delay in the sound coming from the SpeakerCast that make it sound realy bad.

Is there anyway that I can reduce this delay and use the system as intended?

Rgds,
René

Rene,

What is the model number on your SpeakerCast?

Rene,

The version of Speakercast you have doesn't have latency reduction capabilities. In the system you have, the transmitter (iCast) is the one introducing the latency, which is 64ms. A most recent version of the Speakercast allows you to reduce that number substantially. The easiest thing you could do is get a UAT and use it instead of the iCast Transmitter. UAT comes with a latency switch that lets you select between 64ms and 16ms. This last number is low enough to let our human ears hear the music in sync.
